The week of Friday 3rd June to Friday 10 June will see the Le Mans 24 Hour excitement reach fever pitch prior to the start of the race on Saturday 11th June.

Friday 3rd June 2016

TEST DAY: Administrative Checking and Scrutineering. The public will be able to view the cars taking part in the race and meet with drivers for photo opportunities.

ANIMATION PITWALK: The public may visit the pitlane and admire cars, as well as get that all-important selfie of themselves and the famous drivers who will be taking part in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Saturday 4th June

Another day of TESTING and ANIMATION. In addition the teams will line up their cars in front of the Grandstand straight for the official photo.

Sunday 5th June

TEST DAY: Competitors have the opportunity to get a feel of the track. Entry is free for those holding tickets to the race. New drivers are required to complete at least 10 laps and also spend time in the simulator to ensure that they are competent to take part.

Sunday 12th June

Administrative Checking and Scrutineering. The public will be able to view the cars taking part in the race and meet with drivers for photo opportunities.

Monday 13th June

Administrative Checking and Scrutineering. The public will be able to view the cars taking part in the race and meet with drivers for photo opportunities.

WINNER’S HANDPRINT CELEBRATION: The drivers’ handprints are arranged at the heart of the city center. Open to the public this event on Saint Nicolas square is great fun and offers the public the opportunity to get as close as possible to the victorious drivers.

Tuesday 14th June

PHOTO’S: Drivers’ official photo session on the starting line.

AUTOGRAPH’S: Drivers’ autograph session. Late afternoon sees the drivers available to ticketholders and the public for an autograph session. This is the second of such opportunities and drivers will be available to sign memorabilia of any kind. A friendly and relaxed session that should not be missed.

Wednesday 15th June

This is one of the most action packed days leading up to the race.

PITWALK: Ticketholders are invited to take a look at the drivers’ setup and are allowed to wander and explore the pit area.

FUN FAIR: The Le Mans fun fair with its anchor attraction of a huge Ferris Wheel and all the usual attractions of high adrenaline fun housed on the historic circuit is in full swing.

FREE PRACTICE SESSION: Drivers have the opportunity to get the setup of their cars just right for the upcoming race. Some are conservative while others will be trying hard to get the most out of their cars as far as speed is concerned.

QUALIFYING PRACTICE SESSION: Drivers are required to complete the mandatory 5 laps during this night session. There are two of these sessions which take place between 10pm and midnight. The second goal is to register a qualification time in case rain disrupts the next day’s session.

CONCERT: The famous Le Mans concert will be held just feet away from the cars at the Dunlop footbridge from 20h00 to 22h30.
